At 9 a.m. the following lorecast wao Issued for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind. — Westerly, strong to gale after sixteen hours at all places northward of Napier ami New Plymouth; strong to g;ilo from same direction thence southward to Hokitika and Ksukoura within ten hours and earlier thenco southward. Barometer. — Fall everywhere, but rising southward of Timaru and Queenstowu after ten hours. Sea.— Heavy on all western coast and on qast coast from Castlepoint southward ; moderate elsewhere. Tides.— lligh on west coast of North Island; good on both coasts of South Island; moderate all other ports. Rain is probable northward of Napier and New Plymouth after lfi hours and within ten hours at all other plnces. Warning signal for westerly gale is exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwmd, Farewell Spit Stephens Island, Nugget Point, and Centre Island, and will also be shown nftcr sunrise at Cape Maria Van Dicinen, Tintirj. and East Capa. » * -A, SBWiH.
