Her destination is not known, but she calls off Melbourne Heads for orders. THE MANGAPAPA PURCHASED. The Karamea Steamship Company completed the purchase of the Northern Company s s.s. Mangapapa yesterday. Captain Fletcher has gone up to Auckland to take over the new vessel, which is expected to reach Wellington in about a week's time. Before leaving the northern port the Mangapapa will be slightly altered to fit her for the Karamea trade. OFFICERS OF DIRECT LINERS. Captain W. P. Clifton-Mogg, late chief officer of the Arawa, is now in command of the Matatua, which arrived at Auckland on Saturday from London, and has with him the following officers -.—Chief, Mr. S. Rotter; sixth, Mr. R. Galiyay. Mr. R. Latta is chief refrigerating engineer, and Mr. W. Taylor second. The officers of the Papanui, now at Port Chalmeis, are as follow :— Commander, Captain T. S. Weston; chief, Mr. H. Makepeace; second, Mr. R. G. Coyte (late third officer); third, Mr. H. J. AVilde (late fourth Wakanui); fourth, Mr. S. W. Boyd (late third oflicer of s.s.
