MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
An enjoyable concert was provided last night at the Missions to Seamen Institute to a crowded audience by Mrs. Eichelbaum. The chair was occupied by Mr. /J. Moore, missioner, and several men were present from the warships in port. The following contributed items to the programme : — Two pianoforta duets by Misses Ward and Beauchamp, songs by Misses Newman, C. Bequchamp and Isaacs, recitation by Mr. and Mrs. De la Mare, Dr. Isaacs, and Mr. Hogben ; piano solo by Miss Webster. Misses Beauchamp and Webster played the accompaniments. Several choruses, led by Mr. Moore, were sung by tha men. The prizes in the conundrum com-, petition were won by sailors from ships in port. Mr. Moore, during an interval, delivered a temperance address, entitled "The Human Toll," which resulted in thirteen men taking the pledge. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the performers by acclamation. This waa responded to by Mrs. Eichelbanm.
