■. * j A CANADIAN VISITOR. Dr. R.. M. Coulter, Deputy-Postmaster. General of Canada, was a passenger by \ tho Warrimqo to-day. His mission to J Australia is in connection with the AllRed route improved mail service between Canada and Austialasia, He has been specially commissioned by the Do- ' minion Government to endeavour to induce the Commonwealth and New Zea- | land Governments to act in unison in connection with the mail service. Canada, Dr. Coulter stated in an in- ] terview, was anxious for a settlement of the matter, and he felt confident that New Zealand, which was so rftaca interested in the scheme, would be included in j any arrangement that might be come j to. The New Zealand port of call had yot to be settled. Dr. Coulter informed the representa- j tive of The Evening Post that he could* not go into details of his mission as he ' had to first confer with the Govern- I meut He was> met on board the War- ! rinioo by the Prime Minister (Sir Jo- I seph Ward) and the Attorney-General I (Hon. Dr. Findlay).
