Yesterday afternoon the purchase was completed of the barque Weathersfleld, which has been on the retired list anchored in the harbour for some months past. The Union Company is the new owner, having taken the vessel over from Mr. T. G. Maearthy. The Weathersfield will in future be utilised as a coal-hulk, but in which port is not yet settled.
