A WELL-KNOWN SYDNEYITE. ,By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received. November 24, 9.33 a.m.) • SYDNEY, This Day. Sir Arthur Renwick, a leading medico, and ex-Mimster for Mines and Education, is dead ; aged 72 The late Sir Arthur Ronwick, M.L.C., was born in Glasgow, and arrived in New South Wales with his parents at the age of four years. He was educated at Sydney University (B.A. 1857), and became an li.R.C.S. in 1860, and F.R.C.S. and M.D. of Edinburgh in the following year. He entered the State Parliament in 1880 as M.L.A. for Eiast Sydney, and became a member of the Parkes Ministry in 1881, later being Minister for Public Instruction in the Jennang^ Government. H6 rendered conspicuous service to his colony at international exhibitions, and m that connection received his knighthood.
