Out of 5196 bales of La Plata offered, 4011 were sold. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from tho High Commissioner, dated London, 20th November : — "The wool market is : advancing steadily, and there is more depand. Estimated values are as follow :—3s's: — 35's low crossbreds, lid ; 40's low crossbreds, ISfd ; 44's medium crossbreds, Is o£d ; 50's half-breds, Is 4d ; 56' s quarter-breds, Is 6£d ; 60' s merinos, Is ll£d.
