LAWN TENNIS.

». AMERICANS AND AUSTRALIANS. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. MELBOURNE, 20th. November. In the Singles Championship, Alexander beat Doust, 6—4,6 — 4, 6—3,6 — 3, 6—3, and Wilding beat Rowe, 6—2, 6—l, 6—o. Great interest centres in to-morrow's play, when Alexander and Wilding meet in the final of the Singles, and Brookes and Wilding tackle Alexander and Beals-Wright in the final of the Doubks. The latter event should give an indication of who will represent Australia in the Davis Cup contest. If the home pair go down it will probably mean that Dunlop will be given preference over Wilding.
