A special committee of British winebuyers, at the instance of the AgentsGeneral have reported on the Australian wine exhibits at the Franco-Brit-ish Exhibition. They state that there has been a remarkable improvement in recent years, especially in red wines. New South Wales is particularly mentioned. The report speaks highly of the brandies, but less favourably of thewhite wines, burgundies, and hocks.
