The chief feature in to-day's play at the Victorian tennis tourney was the brilliant form shown by Anthony Wilding, the New Zealaoider. In the Singles Cliarapionihip he overwhelmed Rice, of New South Wales, winning three sets straight, 6—l,6 — 1, 6—l,6 — 1, 6—l.6 — 1. Wilding played most of his shots from the back of the court, apparently for practice. Alexander, the American, beat Frankenberg, of Victoria, 6—2,6 — 2, 6—2, 6—3. In the Doubles Championship Wilding and Brookes, playing a dashing game, defeated Dunlop and Heath, 6—4,6 — 4, 6^ — 1, 6-->-l.
