AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

An auction sale of interest to townspeople and those in search of town, suburban, seaside, aud small farm sections is that announced in our auction column to-day by T. Kennedy Macdonald, Limited, who will, on Wednesday night, 25th November, at 7.30 o'clock, sufimit the Raumati Township, w hich is situate some 30 chains from the Paraparaumu railway station on. the Manawatu line. The lots to be offered j comprise 380, consisting of town business sites from a qaarter-acre upwards, to be put up at upset prices from £10 each, suburban sections from an acre to four acres each, seaside sites of half an acre each with frontages to Scarborough sea beach and the old original coach road, in addition to 1 which are small farm and dairy farm sections from two acres to sixtythree acres . each. The terms of sale are : — On town and business sections, a deposit, of £2 10s ; on seaside and suburban sections, a deposit of £5, and easy instalments for balance of purchase money as detailed in the advertisement. Special terms are also offered for the small farm lots. Lithographic plans, on which are published full details, and an article headed "A railw.Ty man's experience on a oneacre section," can be obtained from the auctioneers, or will be forwarded by them to any address on application. The same firm announce the sale by auction on Wednesday evening, 2nd December, of the Te Reinga Estate, situate in the heart of the Upper Hutt r comprising 123 building sections having frontages to the Main Hutt-road and other streets, in close proximity to the railway j station. Up°et prices, as detailed on the plans, will range from £25 per section, and easy terms of sale will be given, the deposits being £2 10s and £5 on each section, according to size of section. Plans will be available on Wednesday next. The firm report further sales by privcite treaty of sections in the Crofton Downs estate and announce in an advertisement that plans with reduced upset prices of the unsaid lots can be obtained on application. The linn also advertise houses to let. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise their list of furniture sales for the coming week. On Wednesday, at 1.30, their weekly sale of household furniture and sundries will be held. They will also hold a special sale of ten pianos in their rooms on Friday, at 11 o'clock, all advertised for unreserved sale. On Saturday, 21st November; they will sell a new log-hauling winch, with boiler and other attachments. Seaside sections at Lowry Bay are brought under the notice of those desiring a week-end and holiday resort in various parts of our advertising columns. The attractions put forward by the auctioneers include sandy sheltered beaches, native bush, and good views. There is a daily 'bus service from Day's Bay. The sections are priced from £75, and the terms of sale are described as easy. Messrs. Wm. H. Turnbull and Co. will supply marked plans and conduct intending purchasers over the property at a.ny time. On Wednesday evening, at the auction rooms of Messrs. W. H. Morrah and Co., Willis-street, a subdivision of seventeen sections is to be offered for sale by auction. The sections are situate at Maranui, adjacent to and fronting the Lyell Bay beach, and are described as being level and dry. The auctioneers claim that this laud is in the most central part of the township. The tramway, they state, is to be extended from Kilbirnie to within a few chains distance of the sections, ihe City Council is now engaged making an esplanade right along the beach in front of the sections, and the Education Board is having a school built a short distance away. The auctioneers also refer to the transformation that has been' effected to the whole of the sea front adjoining the township — where six months ago big sandhills were is now all level land ready for the seaside settler." j On Friday, 20th Novembei, five city properties w ill be ' sold by auction by Messrs. W. fl. Turnbull and Co., of Panama-street. Among the number to be offered is a f corner site, with a frontage of 51ft to Willis-street by a depth of 74ft 7in to Old Customhousestreet, on which is a building now occupied by the Pomona Fruit Companyi. Another lot is the site in Willis-street for many years occupied by Mr. F. Cohen, clothier, which has a frontage ot 15ft 4in ; also a block of over 35ft frontage, to Manners-street by a, depth of about .120 f t; and two sections — one having a frontage of 61ft to Old Cus-tomhouse-street, and the_ other with a frontage of 53ft to Victoria-street. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise particulars of 123 sections in tha ColwSy Estate, which they will sell by public auclion in their rooms on Saturday, 21st November, at 7.30 p.m. The sections vary from 50 by 130 ft to half-an-acre. A feature in this subdivision is the formation of footpaths, all kerbed in concrete, and the channelling of the metalled roads. The terms are described as easy. Plans will be sent^ to any one on application after Wednesday. The firm also advertise a sale of a six-roomed residence and two sections situate in Moana-road (Knight's Farm) for Friday, 13th November, at 3 p.m. Mes&rs. Harcourt and Co. announce in oar advertising columns that > they will sell by public auction buildings for removal at Nos. 202 and 204, Tinakorirbad, on Friday next, the 13th November, at 12.15 p.m. ; also, y on the 19th inst., a villa residence at Karaka Bay, with land having a frontage of 181.22 links to Karaka Bay-road by a depth of 70.14 links, containing five rooms, bathroom, scullery, etc. Messrs. J. H. Beftvune and Co. have several announcements in our auction 1 columns with regard to property sales they are holding this month. On Wednesday next, 11th inst., at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms, under instructions from [ the Registrar of ihe'Supremo Court, they are submitting a block of, land at Hataitai, containing an area or 2r 12.6p, with a long irregular frontage of 332 ft 6in to Waitoa-road. This land is on the left after going through the tunnel. On the same .date a central freehold property will be offered under instructions from the executors in the estate of the late H. J. Pileher. This, comprises freehold land at the corner of Hopper and Arling-ton-streets; having frontages of 64ft 7m to the former and 105 ft to the latter street. On the land are three two-story dwellingr-ouses, Nos. 30, 30a, «»nd 32, Hopper-street. Two sections of almost one acre at Sarsfield, Crofton, will also be submitted at this sale. These have frontages of 66ft 3in and 191 ft lOin respectively to Old Porirua-road. On Wednesday, 27th inst., at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms, they are submitting three building sites at Hataitai. These have frontages of from 40ft 4in to 42ft to Matai-road, by a depth varying from 157 ft to 1631f ; they are only i 230 yds from the electric tram line. On the same date, under ir structions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court, they are submitting the following list of properties : — Three residences, each of six rooms, in Bridge-street, Lower Hutt; a six-raomed house in Derwent-street, Island Bay ; a five-roomed cottage in Ribble-street, Island Bay ; and a fiveroomed house with out-buildings, White's Line, Alicetown. Full details of the various lots appear in the advertisement. Messrs. Bethune and Co. also ad-vcrtise for private sale a number of sections in Crofton West, at prices from £40 to £100 each, equalling 10s to 30s per foot; also an amended list of business and residential properties which they have on their books for .private sale, nnd a number ot houses to let, both furnished and unfurnished*
