SEDITION IN INDIA.
«. EXTERMINATION OF EUROPEANS ADVOCATED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received November 6, 8.18 a.m.) CALCUTTA, sth November. The suppressed Calcutta newspaper, Yugantar, has reappeared at Chandernagore. It urges the Bengali to exterminate Europeans, and declares that the only subscription required from every reader is to bring to the office of the paper the head of a European. . In May last the publisher of the Yugantar was sentenced to twenty-three months* imprisonment and ' fined a thousand rupees for publishing seditious articles. Chandernagore ("City of Saiidalwood") is a French settlement in British India, 20 miles north of Fort William, on the right bank of the Hooghly River. The newspaper Pioneer recently suggested asking France to prevent the de&patch of seditious literature to Chandernagore, whence it is transmitted to Bengal '
