o By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Cop.rriclit. (Received November 6, 10.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. | The Federal Government intend to introduce a Bill to take over Norfolk Island. Norfolk Island is in the Pacific Ocean, between New Zealand and New Caledo- j nia, and about 1200 miles east-north-east of Sydney. It was formerly a penal settlement for New South Wales, but in 1856 was given to the Pitcairn Islanders. It is five miles long, two and a half miles in breadth, and an area of about thirteen and a half square mile 3.
