AMBULANCE SATURDAY.

ST. JOHN ASSOCIATION. The "Ambulance Saturday" colleclections have now reached a total of >w292 10s 2d. At a meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association Nursing Guild yesterday, Mrs. S. A. Rhodes presided. Mrs vV. H. S. Moorhouse, Mrs. W. H. Preston, Miss M. Higgie, and Mrs. W*. B. Fisher (hon. secretary) were also piesent. Mrs. W. B. Tripe sent an apology for non-attendance. , It was reported that during October Nurses Sexton and Macandrew had paid /49 visits Jo the sick poor. Thirteen additional patients were registered and twelve discharged. The following resolution was passed m reference to Ambulance Saturday : "That the committee wish to record its grateful thanks to the lady collectors and all others for their kind efforts in so ably assisting to make Ambulance Saturday a success, notwithstanding the bad weather and scarcity of money, and the newspaper authorities are specially thanked for their kindness in giving publicity to the aims of the promoters of Ambulance Saturday."
