THOSE READY-MADE SPEECHES

DEALT WITH BY THE PREMIER. [Bt Telegbaph.— Speoiai, to The Post.) TEMUKA, This Day. In ' the course of an interview a fewdays ago the Leader of the Opposition stated that the Government was issuing a ready-made speech for the use of its candidates, and he had some of the printed matter in his bag. He said he would like to know where it was published and who paid for it. The Prime Minister made reference to the matter in his speech at Temuka last night. " I have not written any speech for candidates," he said, " and the Government has not printed anything at the expense of the country for the benefit of our candidates. If Mr. Massey has anything in his bag let him use it. He need not keep in his bag anything that he has got against the Government. Let us have it at once."
