MOTOR CONTESTS. WON BY A HUTTON CAR.

By Telegraph.— Press .Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 25th September. ' A Hutton car, built by the Napier Company, and driven by W. Watson, won the 25-horse-power 4in ' cylinder motor car contest in the Isle of Man, covering 339$ miles in 6hr 44min 45sec. The second and third cars were Darracqs. They took a few minutes longer. A number of cars were damaged. No serious accident occurred. Watson started first, and was never passed. RACE CONDEMNED. (Received September 26, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 25th September. The Daily Mail and other papers condemn the motor race as dangerous and useless, proving nothing. Thirty-six competitors started. The object of the contest was to determine the highest speed attainable on an unlimited consumption' of fuel. Ten ambulance stations were ,• established at different points along the route, and there were several doctors were on duty.
