THE RIVERS COMMISSION.

An interesting fact bearing on the profits of the hemp indu3t*y and the vexed question of royalties was testified to before tho Rivers Commission yesterday. A witness said, his son in one season, nine months, paid £1750 in royalty for flax taken off eighty acres of swamp. The commission has now adjourned sine 'die, having concluded the taking of evidence for the present. Fifty- , five witnesses have been examined.
