/ STRONG MAN AS HELPLESS AS A BABY. Struggled along at times on crutchesjoints twisted and swollen — liniments and plasters of no avail — absolutely delirious nights with pain— Cured by
about for say one month and completely laid up for three. When I , wasn't in bed I had to always struggle along oa crutches. Every nerve would be as if t were stretched on a rack. Whenever; the attacks were extra bad I'd have no power to dress myself. I never knew, when the pain was coming next or| where. One day I picked up a book and! read about Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, andi I &aid, 'Well, here goes, this is the last chance.' 'Upon my word I got a little ease before the box was finished. I had left Bundaberg then and came down to Bulimba. I sent for a fresh" supply of the pills nnd improvement became more marked with every dose. The attacks lessened bit by bit. The knots went out of my fingens and the joinlf* slowly; became supple. I could bend my legs and presently do without crutches. Soon I was able to take a brisk walk and take up my regular work. Every, day saw me brighter, easier and hap-< pier. Formerly I couldn't turn "my head for, the stiffness in my shoulders, but now I found myself getting as supple aa a boy. I could go off to sleep and rest the whole night through and get out of bed in the morning entirely without assistance. Before the ' eighth box was empty I was a different man. Every, ■ache had left me. Now I can walk aa sprightly as any man and do a day'g( work with anyone, thanks to Dr. WiW liams' Pink Pills. I give this testimonial as a sheer duty for i£ it hadn't been for Dr. Williams' Pink Pills I should still be a helpless cripple." Mr. Clowes is a well-known carpenter living in Quay-street, Bulimba, Bria. bane. There could be ' no more convincing proof that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills have cured Rheumatism for good than that given in the statement made by Mr. William Clowes. For eight years ho suffered torture that is almost indescribable. Doctor's treatment failed to cure him, and the various other methods he tried were just as ineffectual. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills were the only thing able to drive the Rheumatic poison out of his blood. Read what Mr. Clowes says : — "I got a wetting one day on the river wnilst living at Bundaberg, and Rheumatism set in blmost directly after, first in my big toes, and gradually spread all through my system, affecting every joint and muscle in turn. 1 could not walk. I raw the , doctor but he couldn't do me much good. The Rheumatism spread up to my knees anß within a week I was an invalid in bed, and for more than threo years ] was practically in it-all the time being completely twisted and knotted when an extra bad turn came on. I couldn't pick up my pipe or hold a spoon, being just as helpless as a baby, suffering torture all the time. At" first every joint would swell up and be racked with burning stabbing pains, as if I were on fire. Liniments and plasters did no good though I tried every mortal thing I heard of. I was bathed in hot salt water and wrapped up in flannel. My wife had her hands full waiting on me. At night time I'd be absolutely deljrious with the pain. I couldn't bear the bedclothes on me, and if the wife happened to pull the sheet over me at all quickly I'd have fo shout with the agony. I dreaded anyone coming into the room let alone touching me. I grew very thin, and the pain flew from joint to joint. I occasionally hobbled out for a bvcath of fresh air, but if you gave me a thousand pounds I couldn't raise my arm to lift my_ hat t jt'd. bfi crawling
