CANTERBURY TYPOGRAPHICAL UNION.

At a meeting of the Board of Management of the Canterbury Typographical Union, it was resolved: "That this union, protestg against tho suggestion made all over tho colony by tho Farmers' Union that the Arbitration Act bo made inoperative over farm labourers, and that tho Government bo urged to maintain the present Aot, as far aa farm labourers are concerned." It was also decided that copies of tho resolution bo sent to local M.P.'s and tho Minister for Labour. A further "resolution Was passod: "That this meeting stron- 1 - protests against tho Conciliation and Arbitration Aot Amendment Bill introduced by the Hon. J. A. Millar last session, and which he states ho intends to introduce this session. We Btrongly object to tho abolition of "Conciliation Boards and tho institution of Industrial Councils, and agree to the manifesto issued by the Canterbury Trades and La* bour Council."
