Mr. Leopold Acland, the Canterbury station-holder, who was lately severely injured by a tiger while* hnnting in Bengal, was a passenger by the Britannia which arrived here to-day.

Mr. Acland bears evidence of his encounter with the tiger, but his general health is good.
