' A tremendous fire br.oke out last evening at Chelsea, a populous suburb of Boston. Buildings covering more than a mile square- have been destroyed, and the fire, is not^yat suppressed. Tho places that have been burned down include thirteen churches, two* public libraries, a children's hospital,,* a dozen factories, and four hundred ten-« ement ''buildings. The> damage i is roughly estimated at a million and a half sterling. Ono death occurred, and fifty persons are known to have received injuries. Embers blown across the Chelsea River caused several oil tanks belonging to tlie Standard Oil Company to y blow Hp. OUTBREAK STARTED IN A EAG-,' PICKER'S SHOP. TEN THOUSAND PERSONS HOMELESS. - ADDITIONAL DEATHS REPORTED*; (Received April 14, 8.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, 13th April. The fire in Boston started in a ragpicker's shop. Ten thousand persons have been ren-. dered homeless. Four additional deaths are reported. The damage is estimated at two millions sterling.
