The seamen of the Illawarra and Newcastle Companies refused to work with non-unionists, aud have left tho vessels. A SETTLEMENT. UNIONISTS AND NON-UNIONISTS WILL WORK TOGETHER. (Received April 14, 10.9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Tho strike has been settled. The Seamen's Union has agreed to the coastal shipowners having a month in which to arrange for all non-union crows being brought- together into six steamers. Mcanwhilo the unionists and nonunionists will work together on vessels. TROUBLE AT NEWCASTLE. CASUAL RATES INSTEAD OF WEEKLY WAGES. (Received April 14, 10.9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Trouble^has cropped up at Newcastle, where 33 out of 38 iion-unionists employed by the Newcastle and Hunter River Company struck on the ground that under the new agreement they were to be paid casual rates instead of weekly wages. Eleven returned to work, and tho places of the others were filled by unionists. . /
