ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION. The annual sports meeting of the St. Patrick's Day celebration committee is being held on tho Basin Reserve this afternoon. The weather was windy and overcast at the time of writing. There is a good attendance of the public. Results :—: — 100 yards handicap, for boys of tha Marist Brothers' School. — F. Sullivan (8 yds) 1, W. Sullivan (scr.) 2. The raco was run in three heats. Time, Msec. Half-mile handicap. — N. Gomdon (35 yds) 1, J. M. Ferguson (55 yds)\ C. V. Campion (55 yds) 3. About twenty started. Won by threo yards. Time, lmin 59 4-ssec. 75 yards handicap. — W. L. Dunn (4^ yds) 1, C. L. Turnbull (3£ yds) 2, A. Golds, (3£yds) 3. Won by a yard. Time, Bsecs. One and "a half mile walk nandicap. — S. J. Marshall (SO yds) 1, P., J. Fitzgerald (scr.) 2,.D. Cashmau (scr.) 3. Time, llmin 14 2-ssec.
