ADJUSTMENT OF ACCOUNTS.

Mr. W. Short, of tho Roads Department, began an enquiry this morning at the Hutt County Council offices, in order to ascertain the state of accounts between the Hutt County Council and jicislhouvnu BorougJi Council, yvilh a view to their adjustment. Mr. A. de Bathe Brandon appeared for tho Hutt County Council, with the chairman (Mr. Galloway) and the secretary (Mr. Atkinson), and Mr. Orfifin for lhe Eastbourne Borough Council, with tho Mayor (Mr. F.
