Cargoes are firm with a littlo onquiry — 35s 6d was paid for a steamer parcol of Australian afloat. Males of Australian, spot, have beon mado at 37s to 37a 6d. Flour. — There is a fair business, March-April shipment sold at C7s 6d landed. Butter. — Tho market has collapsed. Tho Copenhagen committeo lowered quotation for Danish 18 kroner, making London prico about 120s. Thoro ia no business doing in colonial, which is nominally worth about 120s. Retailers aro still forcing margarine butter. It is expected that lower pricps will revive the demand. Woof. — Tho Bradford tops market is slow of sales. Quotations are — forties, Hid; forty-sixes, 13d; common sixties, 24^d; super, 26d. Sugar.— Tho market is steady, German beet, f.0.b., Hamburg, 10s ncr owt, an increase of 6d ; first marks, 11s lOd. THE METAL MARKETS. Copper.— Spot, 5s higher at £58 per ton ; three months, 10s higher at £58 10s per ton. Tin.— Spot, 32s 6d higher at £128 7s 6d ; three months, 45s higher at £128 per ton. Lead.— 7s 6d lower ac £13 12s 6d per ton. Spelter.— 2s 6d lower at £21 2s 6d per ton. THE WELLINGTON HIDE AND SKIN SALES. Tho telling brokers, Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Levin and Co., Murray Roberts and Co., Abraham and Williams, and tho Loan and Mercantile held their usual fortnightly sale yesterday. Catalogues woro fairly representative, and competition was up to the average. Hides were again in good demand, and prices for heavy sorts hardened, rates showing an increase of from gd to id per lb on last salos. Sheepskins on the other hand reflected the easier condition of tho Homo market, and tho dullness of the American demand, and tho local quotations for pelts declined from id to Id per lb.
