Campbell-Bannerman, Prime Minister, -will snortly resign, and that tho Highs Hon. H. H. Asquith, Chancellor ■ of tho Exchequer, will succeod him. 1 In view of his age and the weak state of his health, Sir Huii-y Campbell-Ban-uerman'ii resignation would not cause any surpris?. It was nimoured somo weeks ago that ho v oukl be called to the Upper House, Mr. Asquith "leading iho House of Cominuns, but the report was denied. # Mr. A.squilh wan bom in 1852, and entered Parliament In 3886, As a lawyer he has a b. 3 - loputation.
