George Towns, ex-sculling champion, interviewed, said though he had hoped Trep.iddei 1 would be victorious, ho thought Webb would win. Xo doubt Wobb must have improved considerably. If bnrkers could be fonnd, Towns said he might think of rowing for tho championship. His brother Charlie had no thought of trying his luck again. He had been too much disgusted with the liirt race. There wore plenty of good young scullers, but they wore not c-qual to championship form He thought Arnst ought to stand a very good chance against Webb.
