Tha objects and powers of tho company aro sot out in tho MQmoraridum el Association, which may bo had on application to tho Brokers. The Company is being formed for the purpose of acquiring the properties and assets known as the Tynesido and Wallsend Collorics. The purchase prico has been iixed at £20,000, pajablo as follows, viz. :— £10,000 in cash and £10,000 in fully paid : up shares. • The proportics consist of tho Tynosidc Colliory of 108 acres 2 roods nnd 3 perches; the Walhend Colliery, of 149 acres and 12 perches; tho Railway Reherve at Brunner, of ) aero 1 rood nnd 4 perches; Pilcher's lease, of 57 acres; and Dobson's area, of 540 acres. The Tynesido Company purchased the Tynesido Mino about September, 1803, and has worked it continuously every sine;. A copy of the report and balancesheet of the Tyneside Company for the your ending the 30th September, 1907, appears in the prospectus. Tho net profit for that year amounted to £3684 5s 2d, and tho gross output of coal for the yoer \yns 83,667 tons. Tho coal was readily sold in Wellington and oihor districts for housohold, etoam, and gas pur- ' poses. The Wallsend Mino was purchased about April, 1905, but has not hithorto been worked by tho Tynosido Company. Tho property has boen oarefully examined by Messrs. P. F. Daniel, F.G.S., M.1.M.E., Robert Alison, M.E., Charles M'Queons, Robert Russoll, W. Watchman and James Kennedy. Copies of these gont lemon's reports nre attached to tho prospectus. From these it will bo observed that there is ample coal obtainable 1 . Tho Brokers nood hardly point out that Brunner coal is so well known in all parts of the Dominion > that. description of ita composition, structure, calorific value, oto.. is not required. It is admittedly ono of the best bituminous coals in Australasia, and on'o admirably suited for steam, smithy, or household use. For coke-making its properties aro wid6ly uppreciated, and as a gas coal it bears palm of bem<r tho best in the world. In this connection it may bo pointed out that the gas works of Now Zealand consume annually over 200,000 tons of coal, and the consumption is rapidly increasing. For Sas-making' purposes there is at present existent a special and certain market fog double the present outnut of Brunner coal, and for all other purposes mat pood coal is required, ttrunncr well holds its own in tho front rank of competitors. The fire-clay underlying the Brunner coal is admirably adapted for tho manufacture of every class of fire-brick and firo-clay goods. At present tho consumption within New Zealand is considerable and an annual profit of £1000 can be ot>tained without difficulty. With special methods nnd plant for the manufacture of gasworks retorts, tho profit could be materially increased. In the event of iron being produced within the Dominion, Brunner fire-clay goods would bo in considerable demand. As an adjunct to colliory operations this mattor is well worth attention. Copies of Prospectus and any further information desired may be obtained from the Brokers. Early applications for Shares are in N £ted, and should be made andt forwatded to tho Brokera, on the form issued with the prospectus, accompanied by a cheque foi; the ap 'licaUou money, F. C.
