He tired five* .shots at a woman ; then barricaded kniiclf in a room, and fired five shots at ;v 'detective who, with a constable, ca ftie to arrest him. All the shcufcs missed. The dctectwe iired three shots, siightly wounding the, man, who fought desperately till arrested. There wasi apparently no motive for the man's aoion.
