ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
The various football clubs are preparing for the coming season. Last night the third annual meeting of the Northern Wanderers Association Football Club was held. About thirty members were present, Mr. J. J. Roberts presiding. The report showed the club to be in an excellent position both financially and otherwise. Officers were elected as follows: — President, Mr. J. Roberts; vice-presidents, Hon. T. W. Hislop, Mr. J. G. W. Aitken, M.P., Mr. C. Izard, M.P., Drs. Kemp and Cameron, Messrs. J. M'Crorie, J. S. Homo, J. Lewis, A. Dickson, C. F. Drew, T. Crouoh ; club captain, Mr. J. Ash ; vice-captain, Mr. T. M. M'lnnes; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Davidson ; j committee, Messrs. A. M'lntyre, Keen, Innes, Perks, Jardine, Moxon, Stephens, and the officers ex officio ; delegates to Association, Messrs Crouch and David- i son • senior selection committee, Messrs. Crouch, M'Ci-orie, Roberts, M'lntyre, and Miles. It u as resolved to change the club s name to that of the Wanderers Association Football Club, subject to the approval of the Wellington Football Association. Twenty-five new members were elected.
