The Sikhs charged the tribf *.men, and carried their position on a h' /};h hill, losing two men. T .fee Zakha Khels are armed chiefly wi' &. Martini-Henry rifles, but are suffe /ing under the disability of a scarcity of ammunition. The tribesmen avoid engagements v 6 th the troops, but content them- £ c Ives with harassing pickets and con- * p< jys. The sphere of operations covers an | a rea of country twenty miles by ten, I in the western corner of the Bazar valtfety, and tho ground is of a nature that ,j renders military operations difficult. ! Other Afridi tribesmen show no desire to participate in the fighting. General Willcocks commands 2008 British and 8622 native troops. INTERRUPTED WORK. ZAKHAS DISPERSED WHILE BUILD- > ING SANGARS.
