Ho leaves no succesor to the lcaderhip. The dead leader had for some time been at th:. head of th& Nationalist movement in Egypt. His tactics were not considered altogether admirable, and early last year a paity was formed to oppose- his "calumnious campaign," and "tho damage which the self-styled Nationalist champion has done and is doing, to the cause of liberty in Egypt.' 1
