The amount hold over is 3100 bales. Compared with December prices, best greasy merino is nearly 5 per cent, dearer, good scoured 5 per cent, lower, faulty 7£ to 10 per cent, lower, fine crossbreds firm, madium and inferior 10 per cent, lower ; scoureds, espeoially faulty, 10 per ceut. lowei. (Received February 10, 9.1? a.m.) 1 LONDON, 9th February. Hemp.— Quiet. January-March, £27 12s od. Sheep.— North Island, 3id; best brands, 2gd; rest unchanged. Beef.— Fores, 2gd : hinde, 3id. Kher Plate fores, 2gd; hinds, 2gd. Kahbits.— Firm and prices hardening. Many new season's aro offering at 12s to 12s 6d c.i.f.
