A RECENT WRECK. THE STEAMER WINDSOR.
TEERIFJED CHINESE. HEAVY SEAS BEEAK OVER THE VESSEL. By Telegraph.— Press A&sooiation.— CcpyrigUt. (Received February 8, 11 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. The steamer Windsor, wrecked while voyaging from Fremnntle to Hongkong, ran on to a leef west of PeJsart Island, in tho Abrolhos Group, at 10 o'clock on Sunday night. Kcr propeller evidently struck a reef or her tail-shaft broke. A hole was pierced in her bottom under the engine-room, which was flooded The crew wnie then assembled. The Chinese were much terrified. Owing to the list o! tha ship it iras difficult to get a bot away. While awaiting for daylight heavy seas broke over the vessel. There is no further news as to whether those who remained on the ship have landed.
