SCHEME OF CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER. Dy Telegraph.— l'rewi Association.— Copyiight. LONDON, sth February. The Daily Telegraph states that the Right Hon. 11. H. Asquith, Chancellor of tho Exchequer, in his scheme for the institution of old age pensions, aims at setting aside £8,000,000 for this purpose. The qualifying age will be Bixty-five, and the amount of tho pension ss, Weekly ; but the scheme will not be universal, tho adequacy of existing incomes being one disqualification.
