MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIPS.

The Senate of the University to-day adopted a recommendation of the Finance Committee annually offering a travelling medical scholarship of the value of £150 and tenable for one year. The regulations provide that tho scholarship shall be tenable by graduates in medicine of tho University of New Zealand, and awarded on the report of the faculty of medicine on the students' work throughout his course, together with the result of his final examination. Holders of scholarships shall be required to proceed to Europe, and to continue their studies at some irecognised school of medicine, and they -will bo required) to furnish to the chancellor a statement of the studies in which he is engaged.
