A NEW TRAWLER.

Whilst in Great Britain Mr. F. J. Sullivan, of Duuedin (saya the. Otngo Daily Times) made a comprehensive study of present-day trawling methods. Of late years the trawling industry on tho British conot has nsstumed enormon proportions, and most of the big trawling companies return a profit of 15 per cent, and over upon the capital invested. Encouraged by the result of his own observations, Mr. Sullivan gave orders for n new steam trawler, which 13 la bo ready for delivery in a couple of months. Her dimensions are :,— Length, 115 ft; beam. 22ft; moulded depth, 13ft. When completed, she will be chartered for six months by a Home trawling firm before coming out to New Zealand.
