POSITION OF THE CLUBS.
At tho close of tho eleventh round — that is to say, when tho two rinks from each club had met tho two from each of tho other clubs — the relative positions were as under: —
Gisborno and Cnrlton played off, the latter wining by 45 to 39. The final Mill be played to-morrow, betweop-Carl-ton and Hustings. PAIRS. The Pairs Match was won by Smith and Parsons, of the Ponsonby Club, who defeated Simpson and TUtt (Mount Edod) by 29 t0. 16. SINGLES. Tho final in the Singles Match was won by J. Patterson (Wauganui), who boat J. Bonnie (Auckland) by 25 to 11. CITIZENS' MATCH. • The Citizens' Matoh will bo commenced to-morrow. Sixty rinks will compete. NEXT TOURNAMENT. At ?. . meeting of, bowlers .to-night it was decided to recommend that the next tournament be held at, Napier. WELLINGTON PLAYERS. Private advices to hand to-day contain some particulars of tho play of the Wellington men. In tho first round of (ho singles, Wollingtdn (T. Ballinger) defeated Huit (W. J. Eddy) by 20 to 17; Remuera (F. J. Sanderson) beat Wellington (E. ,0. Gibbes) by 18 to 12. In the second round,' Wellington (Blake) scored 19 against Ponsonby (J. M'Leod) 16 ; Wellington (T. Ballinger), 21, beat Ponr,onby (W. F. Darby), 9 ; Wellington (Zander; was defeated by Nowtown (Sexton), by -21 to 19. In fe'no third round,- Ponf.onby (J. M'Lood) scored 21 against Wellington (T. Ballinger) 11 ; Ponsonby (A. J. Baddelev) defeated Wellington (E. ML Blako)' by 22 to 18. ' '
