LAWN TENNIS.
NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. LADIES' TEAM~FOR AUSTRALIA. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association met last evening. Present: Messrs. A. Yoiing (in the chair), Laishley, Didsbury, Hurley, Goldie, Peacock, and Howe. The programme for tho following tournaments were approved : — Hastings, 26th and 27th December; Pahialua, Ist and 2nd January ; Dannevirke, 22nd and 23rd January ; Auckland Championship meeting, Ist, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th January ; Hawkes Bay, 29th and 30th March. A letter was received from the New South Wales Association expressing tho hope thnt a Now Zealand team of ladies would be sent to Australia to compete in the New South Wales' championships, lo be hold in March. It was decided to send a team of six ladies, and ■that the travelling expenses be paid. Messrs. 11. M. Gore, G. Goldie, and A. Young were appointed a committee ■to select tho team. The Australasian .Association holds its annual meeting on i?Oth December in Sydney, when the place for the Australasian Championships for 1908 will bu selected.
