The Times New York correspondf.nfc reports that by means of a, petition declaring the New York city railway insolvent, the tramway lines comprising the metropolitan street railway system went into the hands of receivers — namely, Adrian Joline and D. Robinson. The latter is President Roosevelt's brother-in-law. An examination of the books of the Inter-borough Metropolitan Company, the holding concern for all the traction system of Manhattan, has already led to the discovery of records of payments to a very prominent politician. Joline is a lawyer, and member of the law firm of Joline, Larkin, and Co. He is also a director of the Kansas ami Texas Railway Company, the American and Foreign Marine Insurance Co., und the United Traction and Electric Co., and Assistant Barrister of New York City.
