ANNUAL CONVENTION. The Endeavour Convention, held under the auspices of the Wellington "Provincial Christian Endeavour Union, was continued yesterday evening by special meetings in the Vivian-street Baptist Church. • 4 A song Service was given by the Webb-street cTioir beforo tho general meeting at eight o'clock. Despite the counter attractions this meeting was (airly \vell attended, and the Rev. J. J. North presided. A paper prepared by Mr. H. X". Holmes, general secretary of the V.M.C.A., Was read by Mr. Clark. It dealt chiefly, with the "Endeavour in its aggressive* aspects,' 1 related in a forceful manner the rapid growth of the movement, especially in tho last two years, - 1 and predicted with confidence yet greater gro\Vth in the future.- It was impossible, the paper stated, for the movement, which consisted, of thousands of young men and worn'en the world over.j ' Dound together for tho propagation of righteousness^ not to bo successful as a potent influence for kOod. The paper concluded by urging upon all En'deavourers the necessity for vigorous and constant action. An interesting .discussion followed. Four Well-attended rallies were held during the year. There were now 26 senior societies, with a membership of 930, three intermediate with 107 members, and 25 junior with 865 members, making a total of 51 societies with a membership of 1906 affiliated with tho union. Good work had been done by Endeavourers in and around the city. Services had been conducted, and ' distributed in tho various chafit&Dlp institutions.
