[BY TELEORArH— OV/N CnIIKESPONDKNT.] FEATHERSTON, This Day. Tho annual meeting of the Gun Club was held laht night, Mr. C. Burt presiding. Tho election of officers rosultod : — Pation, Mr. A. Matthews ; president, Mr. W. Barton ; vice-presidents, Messrs. Allan, Donald, Joseph Cundy, C. Matthews, and Z<\ Pearce ; treasurer, Mr. S. Murphy; auditor, Mr. Robertson; secretary, Mr. W. Tucker (vice Mr. A. Holmes, resigned) ; management committco, Messrs. C. Burt, S. Burt, C. Skipagp, T. Skipagc, Arch. Benton/ai! llylands, and C. Elliott. Votes of thanks were accorded the retiring hon. secretary, the auditor, and the chairman. Tho death occurred hero yesterday, as tho rostilt of accidental suffocation, of tho infant son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Viles. Another prominent footballer, Mr. S. Smith, is leaving for British Columbia, in company with Messrs. Turnbull, GrowUiors, and Holmes, who wcro tendered a farewell social by a number of friends tho other evening.
