While woiking at a planing machine in ono of the local sawmills, a youth named Robert Broome, a recent arrival in the colony, had his left arm taken off below the elbow. • BLENHEIM, This Day. Jonn Greig met his death in a, inyst'erious manner i'.t Kaikoura. On Thursday morning he was found in a tent kneeling in a pool of blood and quite dead. There arc no particulars. A mah named H. Campbell was drowned at Portage, Queen Charlotte Sound, yesterday.
