HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
The House met at 2.30 p.m. ' Mr. Field presented a petition fronr 'the Hutt County Council praying that the Makara County Bill be not passed into law. Further petitions were presented in favour of the retention of the totalisator. The Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board Empowering Bill and tho Maniototo Hospital and Charitable Aid Bill were read a first time. (Left sitting.)
