THE RAND STRIKERS.
MINEOWNERS CONCEDE NOTHING REGARDING MACHINES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. CAPETOWN, 30th July. The mineowners on the Rand declare that while they have agreed to re-engage skilled machine men at exceptionally good wages, they h.ave not conceded anything regarding the number of machines each man is to supervise. They will merely re-engage ac many of the strikers as possible. Many of the strikers still remain unemployed. The Government offers them prospectors' licenses.
