Sir Henry Primrose has been appointed Chairman of the Pacific Cable Board, in succession to the late Sii' Spencer Walpole. Sir Henry Primroee, X.C.8., C.5.1., F. 5.0., was born in 1846, and is a son of tho Hon. B. F. Primrose, second son of the fourth Earl Rosebery. He has been Chairman of tho Board of Inland Revenue and Chairman of the Board of Customs, and has held other important public positions.
