In the South Australian House of Assembly, on the 11th inst., in regard to tha Legislative Council Franchise Bill tha Prsmior stated that it was tjie. intention of the Government to push it through the Assembly before any other business was dono in that House, bub that when, it had be2n cent to the Council they would proceed with other mcacurcs, although they would not send them up to th 6 other House until it had disposed of the Franchise Bill. The Premier spoke just over two hours ia moving the second reading of the Franchise Bill. He indicated that if the council again objects to tho Bill, and if the subsequent appeal to the country is abortive, the Imperial Government will be asked to pa.is legislation with the object of liberalising th; South Australian constitution in tho direction desired by the people. The loader of the Opposition secured tho adjournment of the debate.
