No football matches were played on Saturday on account of the rain. Matches played in other centres resulted as follows : — Christchurch — Sydenham (6) beat Old Boys (3), Albion (3) beat Merivale (nil), Canterbury Collego (11) beat Linwood (8), Christchurch a bye. Dunedin — Alhambra beat Union 19 tc nil, University v. Dunedin a draw (no 6coro), Southern beat Taicri 9 to 3, Zingari beat Port 11 to nil, Kaikorai v. Pirates a draw (6 points each). Masterton — Masterton beat Gladstone 31 to 3, Masterton Star beat Greytown 9 to nil. Tho Association football matches wero. all postponed on Saturday owing to the unfavourable weather.
