FIRE AT PALMERSTON.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON N., 17th May. A six-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr. W. 8. Phillips, Awahuri, •was totally destroyed by fire this evening. Nothing was saved.
Full particulars of the Anti-Home Rule lecture to be delivered by Rev. Chas. Watt in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Tuesday next are to b^, found in our advertising columns. In addition to the .lecture, a short programme is to be given by local performers. The Corporation has matb arrangements with Mr. R. Neville Renaud, organist of St. Andrew's Church, Christchurch, to give a recital on the Town Hall' organ next Wednesday. Mr. Renaud gave a number of very successful recitals during, the rcour&e of the Exhibition peaeon. . '..„ '♦ .
