The motion was carried, and some definite steps towards a, completion of tho negotiations may soon be expected. At the last meeting of the North Inland Slicepbreedors' Association, held in Masterton, a. committee was set up to obtain certain data ro South American markets for New Zealand Stud sheep. FEATHERSTON, This Day. At a meeting held under the auspices of tho local branch of the New Zealand Fanners' Union, the proposed Land Bill was discussed. Mr. J. T. M. Horn6by, M.H.R., addressed the meeting, expresting- himself as being in favour of granting tho freehold to Crown Tenants at tho original valuation, tho limitation of tho area as proposed in the Land Bill, and j tho endowment principles.
